Musik Garten Babies Program
Welcome to Music for Babies! This class is designed so that you and your baby can play musically together in such a way that will serve your child’s well-being and total development. The Musik Garten Babies Program provides activities to foster bonding and intimacy between you and your baby. It also provides an enriched musical environment that nurtures the baby’s musical aptitude at a time when it is crucial to do so. A child's brain goes through an amazing amount of development from birth until three years old. They can produce as much as a million neural connections each second! It's a critical time to give them the proper stimulus for full development. Getting your baby involved early in music has a lot of benefits to include:
- Listening and sensory stimulation which helps with neurological development
- Developing listening perception, a musical sense, and a feeling of flow and beat
- Early groundwork for singing and speech
- Provides a unique musical environment for both babies and adults
Each week, babies and the grownups who love them get together for a 30 minute family music time! The Musik Garten certified teacher will guide the group through greeting songs, bouncing songs, body awareness activities, rocking songs, lullabies, steady beat motions, and instrumental play. Babies love repetition in music. Music is a great tool for learning as well. Remember how you first learned your ABCs? Through a song!
Babies pick up on verbal and emotional cues from the grown ups around them and they respond accordingly through mimicking. That"s why it's such a great way for you and your baby to be able to bond together with music. They get to watch you and repeat what they see! Through the use of musical patterns and beats, babies get to feel and experience music and will begin to match the patterns they hear with their movements. Children are naturally drawn to music and this class will give them a huge advantage for continuing their musical journey later on.
